Located in one of the most suited (and at the same time little known) area for viticulture in Italy: Sannio, in the southern Campania region. This is an inland, little accessible territory, with very steep hills and rich in history and traditions: it was first occupied by the ancient Greeks and then contended by the Samniets and the Romans.
Here brothers Carmine and Marco Fusco and their families are proudly and passionately dedicate all their efforts to grow the local grapes in their vineyards and produce outstanding quality wines:
Aglianico (the name probably comes from Vitis Ellenica: latin for "Greek Vines") is the principal and most important red grape variety, often nicknamed the "Barolo of the South" for its capacity to give refined, long ageing and full-bodies reds. Vinarius imports directly from il Poggio three different versions: an easy drinking, young Aglianico "Guerriero", a full-bodied and rich Aglianico del Sannio and a fine and old Vintage Aglianico del Taburno Riserva.
Fiano is considered one of the best southern Italian white grape variety and finds in this high hills the perfect location and soil for the production one of the most interesting and complex versions: Fiano del Sannio.
Falanghina is another ancient, local, grape variety that Vinarius proudly imports in two very different wine styles: a dry (and very popular) white Falanghina "Guerriero", and a unique and soft Late Harvest Falanghina.

With 50 ha of land almost entirely cultivated with the Glera gapes - in a sustainable way to enhance the natural vocation for each of the vineyards - a great variety of Prosecco are produced.
To choose the Prosecco we followed the "pyramid of the quality of dryness" with three products in particular:
Prosecco Extra Dry Treviso DOC - This is the largest DOC area with up to 17gr/Lt of sugar, the most popular prosecco in the shop.
Prosecco Superiore Brut Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG - with up to 12gr/Lt of sugar is the benchmark of a quality, very dry Prosecco that you can also have with food.
Prosecco Superiore Extra Brut Conegliano Valdobbiadebe DOCG "Rive di Collabrigo" with up to 6 gr/Lt of sugar, is the "Cru" of the Prosecco from a specific and highly regarded vineyard, is the driest style and a top-notch Prosecco.
]]>This area in Piedmont region is at crossroad between three important and quite different viticultural areas, Astigiano, Langhe and Monferrato and in Gianni's production we can see the influences from all of them:
Gianni, in fact started as "moscatista" handcrafting one of the most delicate and balanced Moscato d'Asti you can find in the UK market and he also makes an outstanding light and fragrant Grignolino d'Asti.
He also uses grape varieties typical of the Langhe such as Dolcetto and Nebbiolo and his "Genio" Barbera is a long ageing, complex and elegantly structured wine like the ones you can only find in the Barolo area. In fact, as he often says .... his Barbera "Baroleggia".
From Monferrato he adopted the Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato: a unique red wine from a rare grape variety that has a very perfumy nose but dry and firm palate.
]]>Vinarius imports from them all the shades of Vinho Verde: the classic crisp white, rosé, red, sparkling white and the unusual and very typical sparkling red. Also try the Alvariho Reserva: a smashing white for its price.
