David SterzaRecioto is made using the same "appassimento" technique as Amarone, whereby the grapes are dried out to concentrate their sugars, but without letting a full fermentation take place. The resulting red wine is sweet but not cloying with fresh aromas of red cherries, blackberries and orange peel. Perfect as an after-dinner wine by itself or in combination with chocolate-based desserts or powerful Italian cheeses.
