Albarino - Torre Fornelos

Albarino is a very old variety grown in north-west Spain, in the region of Galicia, and in northern Portugal. In Spain it is the dominant white variety in the DO of Rias Baixas with 90% of the vineyards. The region was considerably revived in the 1980s with replanting of better quality vines, almost entirely Albarino, and the DO was created in 1988.

A lovely perfumed nose followed up on the palate with ripe flavours and a steely minerality and crispiness on the palate followed up by ripe flavours and a full long finish.
