Nebbiolo del Monferrato DOC - Gianni Doglia

This is a great value for money Nebbiolo (the grape variety of Barolo and Barbaresco) but made to be drunk relatively young. Aged and fermented in stainless steel vat only the wine it is literally bursting with fruits and supported by a surprisingly soft tannins. It can go with a great variety of food (salmon, sausage, pasta) it has all the quality of a great producer and viticulturist (Gianni Doglia) and the value of a relatively new appellation in the Piedmonte region (Nebbiolo Monferrato DOC).
