Ruché di Castagnole del Monferrato

Ruché is a rare but exciting red grape variety from Piedmont in Northern Italy. It produces wines such as this one that are very light in colour and tannins, medium-bodied but wonderfully floral and spicy in terms of flavours. Don't be afraid to stick a bottle in the fridge and serve in the place of a white wine aperitif during the spring or summer to (literally) spice things up! Otherwise, pair with white meats, fish or cheeses.
