Every family in Abruzzo has its own 'Tatone'. A familiar and affectionate nickname for grandfather, 'Tatone' is actually a fundamental figure in the traditional family hierarchy, whose age and maturity confer authority, prestige and wisdom.
Tatone is like this: a mature and complex Montepulciano d’Abruzzo wine that is refined – 24 months in large Slavonian oak barrels and then 3 months in the bottle.
This wine has an intense ruby-red colour and a symphony of black and red fruits with sweet, spicy notes. Very full-bodied, velvety, juicy, concentrated but balanced palate with a long persistence.
