"Folk" - Cretapaglia (Orange)

Antonello Canonico owner and winemaker of Cretapaglia was looking to create something new with this creation. drinkable and still terroir-specific. Being a lover of the local Calabrian varieties that have almost disappeared the very rare Pecorello grape felt like the perfect one as it has thick skins and is capable of producing very elegant white wines. The result is a great amber wine with no sulfites added at any point. Refreshing but still deep and intense with tropical hints at the nose.
Very drinkable compared to the conventional “orange wine” style.
Only 1284 bottles were made for this 2021 edition. If you want to taste all this wine has to offer do not drink it very cold.
Vinification:
slight maceration on his skin that give a wonderful and intense color… and then relaxing in a stainless steel tank for the necessary time

Cheese and pasta ai frutti di mare, to try with Buzara…
