Falanghina "Guerriero" - Il Poggio
VinariusGuerriero (warrior in Italian) Falanghina really punch above its weight. The name is in honour of the Samnites warriors, an Italic civilization that lived in the central-southern part of Italy before the Romans conquered it after three long and bloody wars.
Falanghina is an ancient grape variety that is cultivated in the Campania region and frequently consumed with the local dishes especially seafood. The "guerriero" has a considerable character and a nice balance with a lively dryness (citrus fruit in particular) sustained by an intense, soft and structured palate with peach and a delicate honey finish.
