Aglianico "Guerriero" - Il Poggio

Guerriero (warrior in Italian) Aglianico really punch above its weight. The name is in honour of the Samnites warriors, an Italic civilization that lived in the central-southern part of Italy before the Roman conquered it after three long and bloody wars.

The wine is unpretentious but has an incredible structure with red plum, black cherry aromas and an evident dusted cocoa at the finish. The tannin is firm and  really complements and wraps up the whole wine perfectly leaving a long and tasty finish.
