"Grinton Ros" - ALEX DELLA VECCHIAVinarius
This highly original expression of Merlot comes from old vines planted over alluvial soils in Alex’s Ombretta vineyard in San Donà di Piave. The grapes were fermented as whole bunches for ten days in cuve, before being pressed to old casks until the following summer. Brimming with red fruit, earth and spice, there is a wonderful purity on display here. Light, bright and nimble, it shows this much maligned grape in a different guise.
