Passito Rosso - Pietrantonj

Passito Rosso is made by drying the whole bunch of Montepulciano grapes in the traditional mats for many weeks after the harvest until they loose about 50% of their weight.

The result is - of course - a concentration of sugar and flavours and the wine shows a deep ruby-red colour with plum, dry and fresh black cherry with an impressive and lengthy palate and a well balanced (almost fresh) sweetness.
