"Strampalato" - CRETAPAGLIA (Red, Natural)
£33.95

From the rare Magliocco and Mantonico grapes that Antonello Canonico, the winemaker of Cretapaglia, is trying to recover with a long and laborious work; Strampalto is certainly the most representative red of the territory. The name means “crazy and a little bit strange”… and this wine from Cretapaglia Winery is really fresh and tannic at the same time, taut and vibrant that unveils in the glass over time. Superb.

Vinification
Obtained from Magliocco and Mantonico Pinto grapes, harvested by hand in the first decade of October, Cretapaglia’s Strampalato ferments spontaneously with maceration on the skins for 6 days and ageing in tonneaux for 9 months.
